**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background. This role involves working alongside two other technicians to ensure the plant and machinery are operational. The position requires both proactive preventive maintenance and reactive troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly. **Responsibilities** + Perform proactive preventive maintenance (PMs) and reactive maintenance as needed. + Update PMs in the company's computer system daily. + Prioritize and address machine breakdowns promptly. + Collaborate with a team of technicians to repair machines and maintain production. + Handle both simple and complex repairs, requiring teamwork and support from all technicians. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing manufacturing/production equipment. + Experience with pumps, conveyors, preventative maintenance, and plumbing/piping. + 1+ year of experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing, including blue print reading and PLC troubleshooting. + Ability to troubleshoot electrical components such as wires, relays, sensors, and handle voltages up to 480V. + Basic computer skills for reporting maintenance activities. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Journeyman license/card is a plus. + Experience with blower systems and push bearings is advantageous. + Boiler license or experience is beneficial. + Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. **Why Work Here?** Join a collaborative team in a dynamic manufacturing environment where teamwork and technical growth are highly valued. The facility is clean and organized, with some areas having dimmer lighting. It is climate-controlled but can vary in temperature. The maintenance team consists of 10 employees with a goal to expand. Uniforms, safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toe boots are required. Candidates should bring their own standard maintenance tools. Shifts include days, afternoons, and nights with opportunities for overtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Detroit, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $35.00/hr.
