**_Aerotek is currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in Baltimore, MD!_** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for supporting production by ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This includes troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical systems to maintain and repair equipment efficiently. **Responsibilities** + Complete daily preventative maintenance and understand mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals. + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns promptly. + Apply knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions applicable to maintenance work. + Operate lifts and material handling tools as needed. + Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment as required. + Adapt to a fast-paced work environment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with troubleshooting and diagnosing plant/manufacturing equipment. + Knowledge of brakes, preventive maintenance, equipment maintenance, mechanical and electrical systems. + Knowledge of troubleshooting: + Hydraulics & pneumatics + Conveyor components + Three-phase motors + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3 years' experience conducting maintenance work within manufacturing. + Ability to work in varying temperature conditions. + Experience in manufacturing or process is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr.
