**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform maintenance and repair functions on equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure machinery is in optimal condition, contributing to the smooth operation of production processes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Purchase and control machine/equipment spare parts.
+ Complete various maintenance and repair reports.
+ Assist management with preventative actions to reduce and/or eliminate waste and quality problems due to equipment or machine breakdown/malfunction.
+ Ensure all employees conduct maintenance and repair activities safely and efficiently.
+ Ensure all maintenance areas meet safety requirements and attend safety committee meetings.
+ Assist management with the establishment and maintenance of work instructions, process procedures, and standards for maintenance and repair functions.
+ Investigate, complete, and follow up on Root Cause Analysis for production loss or quality problems related to equipment or machine breakdown/malfunction.
+ Participate in the continuous improvement program (kaizen).
+ Input information for yearly budget and management plan preparation.
+ Provide training for team members.
+ Assign and perform maintenance and repair tasks to team members.
+ Provide supervision for maintenance and repair tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with repairs and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical systems.
+ 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor maintenance, and mechanical systems.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and reading ladder logic.
+ Strong 480V troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with schematic, 3-phase systems, and blueprints.
+ Knowledge in machine repair, industrial maintenance, and electrical maintenance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in any industry is acceptable; manufacturing is preferred.
+ Familiarity with preventive maintenance techniques.
+ Competence in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

**Work Environment**
The position operates on a rotating shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Shifts rotate between days and nights every two weeks, with initial training on the first shift for approximately six weeks. Note that there is an annual shutdown in July.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of San Antonio, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $56160.00/yr.
