Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technicians for a position located in Adrian, MI. This role is crucial to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of essential equipment within our automotive plant, which supplies gas fuel tanks to major automotive manufacturers.

ResponsibilitiesPromote a safe working environment and actively participate in safety improvements.Support the assigned zone to meet target metrics efficiently.Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic (PLC) issues.Perform all levels of preventative maintenance and maintain detailed maintenance log books.Participate in assembly equipment tool changes.Support special projects, including machinery moves, launches, and continuous improvement efforts.Document work performed in a clear and concise manner.Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) events and apply concepts in daily activities.Complete assigned work orders diligently.Perform basic Fanuc/ABB robot tasks: touch up points, re-master, service/PM’s, and motor/cable replacements.Coach and mentor new skilled trades team members.Proficiently handle tasks such as weld adjustments, weld quality basics, helium leak test troubleshooting, hydraulics and schematics, carriage and swivel troubleshooting, safety relays and light curtains, drive troubleshooting, basic BMM controls and functions, grinder safety controls, and PM and CM of central services.Connect and troubleshoot Siemens S7 as needed.Understand and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) concepts thoroughly.Perform risk analysis prior to LOTO and work within machines.Train and coach other technicians on LOTO and safe work practices.Advise when standard work instructions do not cover specific necessary activities.Ensure the correct application of LOTO procedures.Seek guidance from the LOTO steering committee for any concerns.Exercise authority and responsibility to stop production when quality or safety issues arise.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing plant electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic PLC issues.Proficiency in electrical systems, including 480v, 3-phase motors, and PLC troubleshooting.Skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work in a temperature-controlled environment.Capability to lift up to 33 lbs regularly.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.63 - $33.45/hr.
