Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Engineer** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves performing maintenance tasks primarily focused on mechanical work with a significant portion of electrical duties. You will work on various machinery and equipment such as piping, exhaust fans, vacuum conveyor systems, packaging machinery, mixing tanks, stretch wrappers, hot oil heating systems, and glycol chillers. The electrical tasks include disconnecting motors, checking polarity, pulling fuses, and resetting breakers. You will also perform facility maintenance as needed, and tools will be provided for your tasks. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment involving hydraulics and pneumatics. + Conduct electrical troubleshooting with a basic understanding of 120V systems. + Read and work off of blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment. + Handle valves, compressors, and facility maintenance tasks as required. + Assist with any necessary tasks to support the facility. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical Troubleshooting (Hydraulics, Pneumatics) + Electrical Troubleshooting (Basic understanding of 120V) + Blueprint reading + Experience with valves and compressors **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + MIG and TIG welding + PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley) + Chemical maintenance background + Experience with pumps and electrical maintenance + Fabrication skills + Experience with 3-phase systems **Why Work Here?** Join a supportive team that values training and development. The role is physically demanding, requiring bending, lifting, and working in tight spaces. You will initially train on the first shift for 3-6 months before transitioning to a second or third shift. The facility is equipped with necessary tools for your tasks. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stow, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
