Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic and challenging environment, where you will utilize your expertise in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance of large-scale equipment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform motor control tasks, including working with 480 volts systems.Troubleshoot proximity and limit switches, and engage in basic PLC troubleshooting.Maintain and repair single and three-phase motors.Work with presses, saws, stackers, conveyors, chains, hydraulics, and valves.Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks on general facilities equipment.Handle and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and safely.Essential SkillsExperience as an electrician with motor controls and 480 volts systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting proximity and limit switches.Basic knowledge of PLC systems.Ability to work with single and three-phase motors.Familiarity with large-scale equipment and sawmill machinery.Additional Skills & QualificationsCandidates with experience in sawmills or heavy industrial environments are preferred.Work Environment

This role is set in a sawmill environment. Initial training is from 7am-3pm for a month, transitioning to a 7pm-7am schedule on a 223 rotation. The position requires working with advanced machinery and adhering to safety protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncure, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr.
