**Maintenance Technician**
1st shift (4day work week) 5:00am - 3:00pm (m-th)
$26-30/hr
**Responsibilities**
+ Subscribe to and adhere to all safe work practices, including observing all lock out/tag out procedures, clear lines of communication to fellow maintenance and operating personnel, and utilization of proper personal protective equipment and procedures.
+ Troubleshoot machines and equipment that have mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical control parts including PLC components and logic, relays, etc.
+ Complete minor and major repairs, preventative maintenance, and major overhauls on all equipment.
+ Repair machines efficiently and correctly to minimize production downtime.
+ Prioritize and balance a dynamic daily workload of breakdown maintenance, process issues, and PM tasks.
+ Move and install old and new equipment; disconnect and reconnect services to machines.
+ Maintain plant support equipment, including overhead ventilation fans, air compressors, coolant supply, and filtration systems.
+ Perform miscellaneous repairs to the facility, such as plumbing, lighting, and ventilation.
+ Operate manual machine shop equipment and tools and use welding equipment for maintenance repairs.
+ Identify parts needed to conduct maintenance and submit parts order forms.
+ Accurately scan out inventory parts used to perform maintenance.
+ Identify parts in inventory with low physical counts or out of stock and notify supervisor and purchasing agent.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical PLC systems.
+ Experience with hydraulics and preventive maintenance.
+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to work independently in a team environment with high attention to detail.
+ Mechanically inclined and capable of solving problems independently.
+ Capacity to work requiring concentration and physical effort.
+ Ownership and maintenance of a complete set of basic tools.
+ Effective communication with other employees about issues and prioritization of breakdowns.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
