Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of plant equipment. You will follow standard work practices and procedures, including hot work permits, proper startup and shutdown processes, confined space policies, Lockout Tagout procedures, Critical Safety Rules, and more.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Complete work orders in the computer system.Lookup crib parts in the computer on SAP, sign parts out properly, and pass on jobs in an orderly fashion.Perform minor electrical work as needed with proper training, such as unwiring and rewiring direct replacement parts like valves, photo eyes, and small motors.Rebuild pumps and change mechanical seals, troubleshoot and repair extrusion vacuum loading systems.Apply knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic valves on machinery including Punch Presses and Extruders.Rebuild and change blades on granulators and blowers, install coating rolls and nip rolls, use micrometers and other measuring tools, bore and broach gears and sprockets, machine and fabricate parts to tight tolerances, and weld with MIG and arc welding machines.Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, including Punch Presses and Extruders, conduct hoist inspections, replace and align motors, unjam scrap lines, change cyclone and baler filters, and perform pipefitting.Comply with all plant rules, safety rules, GMP and PPE guidelines, and department work instructions.Work as directed by the Department Supervisor and assigned by shift Lead.Perform housekeeping duties and practice good housekeeping after all jobs.Understand roles and actions for plant emergency response.Gain knowledge of asbestos locations and radioactive devices in the plant and their proper handling.Know the domestic water system and main gas shutoff locations.Any and all other duties as assigned.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
