**Press Maintenance Technician, Hastings, MI** **_$27-28/hour_** **_1st Shift_** **Job Description** Join a dedicated team in West Michigan as a Press Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of presses that have been manufactured over the past century. With customers spread across the United States, you'll be tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of these machines, both on-site in Hastings and through direct communication with clients to address any concerns and necessary modifications. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and repair presses on-site at the Hastings facility. + Communicate effectively with customers to address concerns and determine necessary repairs or modifications. + Perform preventive maintenance on press machines. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Engage in large assembly tasks, including soldering and wiring. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in press maintenance and repair. + Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment. + Mechanical aptitude with experience in machining, repairing, or building machines. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with blueprint reading. + Familiarity with electrical systems and schematic interpretation. + Capability in soldering and wiring tasks. **Why Work Here?** Gain unique exposure within the press industry by working on over 200,000 presses, while enjoying generous benefits such as 10 holidays and 2 weeks of vacation. The facility is older and the plant floor can be dirty. Work hours are from 6am to 2:30pm, and steel toe/safety toe shoes are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hastings, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
