Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our family-owned company and handle facilities tasks related to the building, equipment, and boilers. The role involves performing a variety of tasks in preventative maintenance, handling breakdowns, and managing projects around the facility. Approximately 60% of the job duties are mechanical, while 40% are electrical.

ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance on boilers, chillers, RTUs, steam heaters, ovens, pumps, belts, and mechanical systems.Conduct MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum as needed.Carry out plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and touchups of the building as required.Perform light preventative maintenance on forklifts and overhead cranes; subcontract higher-level repairs and electrical tasks.Ensure all maintenance tasks within the building are addressed; contact vendors when necessary.Essential SkillsMechanical maintenanceElectrical maintenanceWeldingBoiler maintenanceEquipment repairRoof top unitsLow pressure systemsHVACPlumbingCarpentryAdditional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of industrial maintenance experienceSpecial boilers license or willingness to obtain (Required)Experience maintaining HVAC units (Strongly Preferred)Leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environment (Strongly Preferred)General plumbing, construction, painting, drywall experience (Preferred)Low pressure boilers license (Preferred)EPA certification, forklift, and overhead crane maintenance experience (Nice to have)Experience in a plating environment (Nice to have)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6AM-4:30PM Monday to Thursday, and 6AM-12PM on Friday in an 80,000 square foot facility. The environment is clean and well-lit, with chemical smells present in certain areas. There is no air conditioning, but numerous fans are in operation to ensure airflow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.
