Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join a family-owned duck processing facility as an entry-level maintenance technician. This role is primarily focused on mechanical tasks, working with conveyors and packaging equipment, as well as boilers, compressors, and ovens. There may also be work on ammonia refrigeration and outside utilities. Your duties will include performing preventive maintenance, such as checking belts, chains, and electrical cabinets, greasing equipment, and replacing chains, bearings, and belts. **Responsibilities** + Perform troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on machinery. + Wire ovens and coolers in the Servitude Plant. + Read and interpret schematics and blueprints. + Conduct welding and fabrication tasks. + Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance. + Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures. **Essential Skills** + Experience in hydraulic systems and mechanical maintenance. + Ability to troubleshoot 120v-480v electrical systems. + Proficiency in reading electrical schematics. + Experience in welding and fabricating. + At least 3 years of employment with the same company. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Plumbing and pipe threading experience. + Experience with refrigeration and outside utilities. + Boiler experience is desirable. **Why Work Here?** This family-owned company is known for stability, having never laid off employees. Must be comfortable with the smell. Adhere to PPE requirements, including hair nets, beard nets if needed, and provided smocks. Wear waterproof, nonslip steel-toed shoes. Be prepared for an on-call rotation and overtime as necessary. **Shifts available are 2nd and 3rd shift. Pay $28-$29.** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Milford, Indiana.** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
