Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing the preventative maintenance program and managing scheduled maintenance shutdowns for our equipment. Your role will involve repairing and maintaining plant machinery such as compressors, pouch machines, and printing presses, as well as replacing components like PLCs, cylinders, and sensors. **Responsibilities** + Coordinate, schedule, and complete preventative maintenance and scheduled maintenance shutdowns. + Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment including compressors, pouch machines, and printing presses. + Repair or replace PLCs, cylinders, switches, sensors, pushbuttons, heater cartridges, etc. + Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments. + Set up and perform basic operations on all production machines. + Fabricate and modify equipment components. + Manage and maintain inventory of machine parts. + Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. + Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement events. + Identify, suggest, and implement approved process improvements. **Essential Skills** + 3 years of maintenance experience on industrial machinery systems. + 1-3 years of safety experience. + 1-3 years of experience with Excel and safety analysis programs. + 3 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience. + 1-2 years of experience reading and comprehending blueprints. + Ability to lift 40 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in flexible packaging, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. + Bilingual capabilities. **Why Work Here?** Work for a leading medical flexible packaging manufacturer with a strong customer base. You will be the sole employee on the Maintenance team, collaborating closely with the Press Supervisor. Machines are older, so you will need to be resourceful and think on your feet as manuals may not be available. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niles, Illinois **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
