Maintenance Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The day-to-day responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on flavoring machinery and facility equipment. You will work alongside other maintenance mechanics and specialists to perform scheduled repairs on Dry blend, spraying, reactors, extractors, and compounding machines.

ResponsibilitiesPerform PM on equipment as outlined by the company manual.Repair production equipment using mechanical knowledge and printed repair manuals.Assist in replacing production equipment.Maintain a neat and orderly workplace and shop.Maintain building and grounds of the facility to the required standards of management.Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements for the operational area being repaired.Maintain inventory of all tools.Perform other duties as required by management.Work with proper GMP, HACCP, Allergen, SSOP, and Safety guidelines.Handle tasks that are 50% mechanical and 50% electrical.Work with voltages up to 480 volts and on 3 phase motors.Perform HVAC maintenance within a food processing company.Ensure attention to detail within quality standards.Follow lockout/tagout procedures within the food industry.Essential Skills5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Experience working with voltages up to 480 volts.Experience working on 3 phase motors.Stronger mechanical knowledge over electrical.Ability to read blueprints and schematics.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift repair.Cherry picker repair.Experience in the food/flavors industry.Electrical experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a GMP regulated food environment with around 100 employees on the 2nd shift. The facility is very clean overall, ensuring a safe and orderly workplace. The shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work on weekends if needed. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift and may last up to 6 months, depending on the candidate’s training curve.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
