Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facility maintenance, ongoing maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs on buildings and equipment. This position ensures the smooth operation of production in all facilities and on all machines. Salary Range: $30-35/hour.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Must be capable of performing the duties necessary to construct and maintain in good repair all parts of the building and equipment including:
-Using a variety of hand and power tools
-Accomplishing the more difficult maintenance jobs such as remodeling, installation and erection of structures and repair of office fixtures
-Making mechanical adjustments and minor repairs to pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, and other production machinery
-Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and lubricating
-Preventative maintenance on lightening protection systems, and safety equipment/exits
• Perform grounding and bonding testing to ensure its in working condition
• Identify and correct potential safety hazards to prevent injuries
• Troubleshooting repairs to automated equipment
• Maintenance of powered industrial vehicles (PIV)
• Maintain the building’s HVAC equipment to ensure proper climate control
• Provides guidance to management regarding equipment and building maintenance issues
• Assist with HESS checks/walkthroughs, fire extinguisher checks and emergency lighting checks
• Must be familiar with preventative maintenance programs
• Capable of working with electrical equipment
• Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of related experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work under limited or no supervision
• Capability to perform independent research or troubleshooting on projects, repairs and redesigns
• Diagnose and repair robotics and auxiliary systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Having a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing is essential
• Able to work in a manner that demonstrates the high importance of safety for self and others
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Requires extended periods of standing, must be capable of standing for the length of shift
• Ability to reach, grab, pull, and work with hands
• Must be capable of lifting and transferring materials weighing up to 75 lbs.
