Maintenance Technician Job ID 218092 Posted 02-May-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Engineering/Maintenance Location(s) Palo Alto - California - United States of America, San Jose - California - United States of America **ABOUT THE ROLE** As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial and minor repair duties. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. + Must be flexible to work shift/schedule + On-call support on weekends / Rotating schedule **WHAT YOU'LL DO** + Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs of buildings and installed systems to include kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment + Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems + Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities + Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of all tools and equipment needed to complete required jobs during the workday, for all facility and ground maintenance + Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns + Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions + Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations + Coordinate with fire life safety vendor in maintaining and operating fire life safety systems + Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits + Minor office furniture repairs + Assemble personal team purchased furniture + Repair to manual window coverings + Minor door repairs/adjustments + Mother’s and Wellness Room support + Office signage, nameplates etc. + Move furniture, interior plants and machinery by hand or forklift from building to building + Breakdown of shipping material for refuse/recycling + Minor paint and patch + Mini fridge placement and connection + Hang framed art, whiteboards, bulletin boards or decorative objects + Pick up construction materials at supply houses + Replace acoustical tile not involved with building equipment + Lightbulb replacement + Space planning audits + Compliance audits + Building inspections + Event support + Minor plumbing (clogged toilets/sinks) **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. + In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. + Mechanical and minor Plumbing experience is plus. + Requires some experience with hand/power tools. + Furniture/equipment moves. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 25 lbs. The salary range is $33 - $36 per hour. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
