Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Join our dynamic Maintenance team and contribute to the effective and efficient operation of all equipment. This role requires an intermediate skill set in preventative maintenance, overhauls, modifications, fabrication, welding, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. You will utilize your practical knowledge of maintenance shop equipment to troubleshoot and solve problems, ensuring seamless operations. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production, processing, and utility-related equipment. + Support the installation of new equipment. + Assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. + Promote teamwork consistent with the company's mission, vision, and core values. + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and report safety-related issues. + Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and work in compliance with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. + Maintain safe working conditions and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations. + Work independently to troubleshoot and conduct mechanical and electrical repairs. + Dedicate efforts to safety, ensuring employees leave work in the same condition they arrived. + Exhibit values and ethics through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment. + Attend required training, including Safety, GMP, HACCP, and SQF. + Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP) to manage Maintenance Work Orders. + Source and order maintenance items from catalog suppliers. + Perform other duties as required. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma or GED required. + Mechanical and electrical inclination with maintenance experience preferred. + Ability to learn and use testing and repair equipment such as Ultrasonic Testers, IR Scanners, DMM, Shaft Alignment Equipment. + Proficiency in using standard maintenance tools safely. + Capability to perform minor projects and routine repairs safely and timely. + Experience in routine preventative maintenance and record-keeping. + Ability to diagnose system problems following process control variables and schematics. + Hands-on experience in Industrial Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting: Pumps, Motors, VFDs, Valves and Controls (120 VAC, 240 VAC, 480 VAC, Single and Three Phase Power). + Ability to read mechanical, electrical drawings, process, and instrumentation drawings (PID). + Good interpersonal skills for effective communication and cooperation. + Basic computer skills: MS Office Suite, SAP. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanically and electrically inclined individual with maintenance experience preferred. + Proficiency in using standard maintenance tools safely. + Ability to perform minor projects and routine repairs safely and timely. + Capability to assist other mechanics on more complicated repairs. + Successful completion of a written maintenance test. **Why Work Here?** Experience a company culture that values safety, ethics, and teamwork.
