Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the entire facility, building, and machinery. This role ensures that all equipment and machinery are maintained and repaired efficiently.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery.Organize and implement a daily maintenance and repair schedule.Perform regular property inspections of common areas, building exteriors, and landscape.Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of equipment, structures, and grounds on the property.Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery.Clean light fixtures and change bulbs/tubes.Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds, etc.Maintain HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, fan units, control panels, thermostats, and cooling towers.Read and interpret manuals and blueprints.Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.Utilize hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.Set priorities in maintenance work and preventative maintenance work orders.Prepare, paint, and decorate interior and exterior surfaces.Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.Request quotes from specialty outsourced maintenance vendors for projects.Essential Skills3+ years of well-rounded maintenance experience.Experience in machinery troubleshooting and repair.HVAC maintenance and repair.Electrical experience, including troubleshooting 3-phase motors.Plumbing skills.Comfortable with heights (up to 40' on a scissor lift).Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of welding and fabrication experience.Why Work Here?
Hourly employees get paid weekly. Benefits include BC/BS for healthcare, MetLife for other insurance needs, 10 paid holidays, pro-rated vacation in the first year, and a 401K plan with company matching funds after one year of employment. There is a 5-year vesting period for the matching funds. Employees also receive paid time off, with a 90-day probationary period before usage, and the company pays full monthly premiums for both short-term and long-term disability insurance.
Work Environment
The work environment is clean, bright, and temperature-controlled, located in a brand new building with state-of-the-art facilities including a breakroom, lobby, and offices. The production floor is well-organized, big, well-lit, and clean. The maintenance team comprises this technician and a part-time senior technician, reporting to the engineering department. There is a future growth plan into sheet metal manufacturing, where the technician will work with engineering to plan, install, and maintain new equipment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $62400.00/yr.
10 paid holidays, vacation pro-rated in the first year and our 401K offers entry at the first of each quarter with Company matching funds (60% of the first 6% of contribution) after 1-year of employment (for active Plan participants). There is a 5-year vesting period for the matching funds only.
10 Holidays paid - start at date of hire
PTO - typically 2 weeks to start prorated based on date of hire. 90 day probationary period before being able to use the PTO.
