Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician. The position requires a flexible schedule with working hours from 5 am to 1:30 pm, or until the job is completed, with Thursdays and Sundays off. The role demands a significant amount of overtime and a willingness to adapt to changing schedules.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications while troubleshooting malfunctions.Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rules and other measuring instruments.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingMechanical skillsPLC troubleshootingVFD knowledge3-phase electrical systemsExperience with conveyorsHydraulics and pneumaticsPreventive maintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a food production background is preferredWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.
