**Contract to Hire/ Fulltime**

**Onsite (M-F)**
**SUMMARY**
We are currently seeking a skilled **Maintenance Technician** for a **Contract-to-Hire** opportunity with a premier client in the manufacturing industry. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and performing routine maintenance on production equipment, plant utilities, service equipment, buildings, and grounds. A strong background in **electrical work and welding** is essential.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ **Electrical:** Troubleshoot electrical issues, read diagrams/symbols, and write advanced schematics. Must be able to read P&ID drawings and use diagnostic tools such as voltage meters, oscilloscopes, and ammeters.
+ **Welding:** Perform layout, fitting, and welding of fabricated metal parts. Use manual and semi-automatic equipment to complete structural and surface welds to spec.
+ **Mechanical:** Install, adjust, and maintain parts in functional systems (e.g., air compressors, dryers, gas/water systems, alarm systems).
+ **PLC:** Read and interpret Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
+ **Fabrication:** Dismantle machinery to remove defective parts. Design and build complex parts using millwright tools.
+ **Heating/Cooling:** Repair and troubleshoot A/C systems, chillers, and air dryers.
+ **Projects:** Troubleshoot and repair systems related to hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical motion controls.
+ **Safety:** Follow and support the site's safety programs. Report any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately.
+ **Teamwork:** Participate in High-Performance Teams (HPT) for process improvement and workplace enhancement.
+ **Recordkeeping:** Accurately log production data, labor hours, and materials usage.
+ **Facility Maintenance:** Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Support 5S initiatives.
+ **Reliability:** Timely attendance and flexibility for overtime as needed based on production demand.
+ **Other duties as assigned.**
**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**
+ Must be **18+ years of age**
+ High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or technical school preferred
+ **Electrical and welding** experience or education is required
+ Previous **maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment**
+ Basic knowledge of **PLCs**
+ Familiarity with **SAP or other ERP systems** is a plus
+ Intermediate skills in **Microsoft Office**
+ **Forklift and mobile equipment certifications** are preferred
+ Must be a **U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident** (due to ITAR regulations)
+ Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and work in a non-climate-controlled environment
+ Strong attention to **safety, detail, and quality**
+ Willing to undergo **pre-employment screening** , which may include aptitude testing, drug screening, and background check
