Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift, where you will perform preventative electrical maintenance on equipment, inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components. You will also perform standard electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout the facility, install new equipment and wiring to support operations, and complete electrical projects as directed by supervision. Your role is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies.
ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative electrical maintenance on equipment.Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components.Perform standard electrical repairs and troubleshooting throughout the facility.Install new equipment and wiring to expand operations or replace units.Complete electrical projects as directed by supervision.Adhere to all safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.Familiarize with confined space and lockout/tagout policies.Detect defects in equipment and make necessary repairs or adjustments.Interpret and work from sketches, diagrams, and blueprints.Work closely with other team members in the maintenance department.Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations.Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.Update management on parts or equipment needing replacement or repair.Essential SkillsStrong background in electrical systems and mechanical knowledge.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.Physical tolerance for bending, standing, and walking for long periods.20-20 vision with or without prescribed eyeglasses, speaking ability, and hearing accuracy.Manual dexterity and ability to move or carry up to 50 lbs frequently.Ability to work on the shop floor all day.Experience in PLC troubleshooting.Additional Skills & QualificationsAn associate degree in industrial electrical or equivalent, or enrollment in an accredited program.Certification as an Electrical Technician is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work the 3rd shift with hours from Tuesday to Friday, 8 pm to 6 am. The work is conducted in a metal finishing facility, one of the oldest buildings in Manitowoc, which features machines ranging from 10 to 50 years old. The process involves dipping metal into tubs of wash, acid, and finishing product, providing a unique and challenging work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
