Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician on the 1st Shift (6:45am-3:15pm), with some flexibility on start times as long as an 8-hour shift is completed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rubber manufacturing equipment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on rubber manufacturing equipment, including extruders, mills, mixers, calenders, and curing presses.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in production equipment.Respond promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests to minimize production delays.Assist with equipment changeovers, installations, and upgrades.Monitor and maintain utilities supporting rubber processes such as air, water, and steam.Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Follow plant safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO).Support root cause analysis for recurring maintenance issues.Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and parts inventory.Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance with process specifications.Adhere to quality and safety standards specific to the rubber manufacturing environment, including temperature and pressure control, cleanliness, and material handling.

Work Environment

The position is based at the Coit Road location in a fast-paced rubber manufacturing environment. Expect exposure to heat, noise, and industrial chemicals. The facility requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset. The environment includes older machinery and can be dirty in some areas.
