Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing plastics equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our facility's equipment, while also mentoring and training less experienced staff.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair plastics equipment including extrusion machines, grinders, die cutters, conveyors, silos, blowers, augers, and automated machine feeders.Perform preventive maintenance primarily on Line 2 during the 2nd shift.Split duties 50/50 between electrical (24v-480v) and mechanical systems.Mentor and train the current 2nd shift technician.Conduct maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Utilize PLC troubleshooting and MIG welding skills.Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.Essential SkillsProficiency in troubleshooting 24v-480v electrical systems.Mechanical troubleshooting skills, especially with hydraulics and pneumatics.Experience with PLC troubleshooting.MIG welding expertise.Preventive maintenance experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsA keen interest in maintenance and machinery.Willingness to train and mentor other staff members.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility is clean, well-lit, and well-organized, providing a pleasant working environment. Although not climate controlled, large overhead doors and fans help maintain comfort during the summer, and the facility is heated during winter. The 2nd shift runs from 2 PM to 10 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sidney, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
