An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Payload and Ground Systems (PGS) division, Mission Enabling Products (MEP), the Propulsions Operating Unit is the leading supplier of pressure vessels and tank hardware to the aerospace industry. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to support operations in Commerce, CA.

Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician 3 performs repairs and maintenance on machines and equipment in a manufacturing environment. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Essential Functions:
Perform all maintenance trades as needed to keep facility operational. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding
Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
Uses hand and power tools.
Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
Basic Qualifications: Maintenance Mechanic 3
High School Diploma and a minimum 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician
Basic understanding of vacuum, electrical, hydraulic and other systems
General knowledge of repair and troubleshooting of CNC Machinery
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Strong electrical skills working with 24 vDC – 480 vAC
Familiarity with PLC’s/HMI’s
Candidate must be able to work a flexible shift to include overtime hours
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
Primary Level Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $98,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
