The maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining slicing, packaging, and press machinery/equipment. The focus is on supporting the production of food products such as sliced fruit and juices. This role requires mechanical and electrical proficiency to effectively support the team.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance on machinery and equipment including slicers, packaging machines, and presses.Conduct mechanical repairs on components such as conveyors, belts, bearings, gears, and pumps.Execute electrical repairs including work on single/3 phase motors, fuses, relays, and voltage ranging from 120-480V.Troubleshoot PLCs and engage in preventive maintenance tasks.Ensure the machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Essential SkillsProficiency in pneumatics, mechanical repair, and motors.Experience with 3 phase electrical systems and hydraulics.5+ years in food manufacturing and refrigeration experience.3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repairs.Skill in PLC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with machine building and fabrication is a significant advantage.Knowledge of GMP standards and ability to work with safety equipment such as hair nets, beard nets, smocks, steel toes, and safety glasses.Possession of personal tools is necessary.

Work Environment
The position operates on a 1st shift from 6 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a GMP environment. The role requires wearing safety gear and does not involve ammonia refrigeration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
