**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform mechanical repairs using a wide array of shop and field tools. You will execute professional-level welding, including MIG and TIG techniques, and troubleshoot and diagnose heavy industrial equipment. You will understand the basic operation of standard industrial equipment, including steam boilers, heaters, mechanical presses, and ovens. Additionally, you will perform basic electrical repairs and work comfortably with 480 V equipment. **Responsibilities** + Independently perform mid-level general facilities work and equipment repair, including electrical, boiler, furnace, and compressor tasks, with basic supervision. + Enhance metal fabrication skills, including welding, plasma cutting, and tool use. + Acquire mid-level experience in hammer and hydraulic repairs under supervision. + Demonstrate the ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting tasks in wastewater treatment under supervision. + Read and interpret mechanical drawings. + Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor, provided they are reasonable. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical repairs and troubleshooting. + Electrical repairs and comfort with 480 V equipment. + Professional-level welding (MIG and TIG). + Understanding of industrial equipment operations, including steam boilers and mechanical presses. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Strong communication skills with the ability to read and follow instructions in English. + Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, plumbing, and lighting. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working in a union shop with good benefits and consistent 40+ hours each week.
