Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technical Lead who will be responsible for overseeing, planning, and implementing maintenance and repair activities related to automotive testing equipment, facility equipment, and buildings. This role supports ongoing operations and ensures compliance with relevant codes and standards.
ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, prioritize, assign, supervise, and review maintenance and repair activities to automotive testing equipment, facility equipment, and buildings.Oversee and direct the activities of a small multi-trade maintenance crew to complete tasks safely and timely.Comply with collective bargaining agreements, Canadian Electrical Code, TSSA, corporate policies, and other applicable regulations.Develop maintenance strategies and programs, and improve existing policies.Troubleshoot automated testing system issues and determine corrective actions.Manage environmental health and safety conformance for skilled trades.Oversee a preventative maintenance program for automotive testing equipment and facilities.Prioritize tasks based on urgency and workforce availability.Maintain accurate hourly timekeeping records, vacation, and time off requests.Serve as the point of contact for janitorial services contract.Perform environmental inspections and coordinate waste pickups.Procure parts, materials, and rentals required to complete maintenance tasks.Track data for performance measures such as Preventative Maintenance task completion and overtime.Maintain good supplier/customer relations with internal customers and outside suppliers.Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials.Essential SkillsAssociate’s degreeCertificate of Qualification as an electrician or an electrical engineering technologist (or equivalent)5-10 years of troubleshooting automated equipment, preferably in automotive assembly or automotive component testing.5-10 years of experience supervising maintenance activities in a construction or industrial environment.Experience in a unionized labour environment, 5-10 years would be beneficial.Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, OH&SA Regulations related to industrial maintenance activities.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and operate other computer-based and web-based programs.Strong project management, organizational, teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.Valid driver’s license.Additional Skills & QualificationsWillingness to accept a wide variety of assignments.Willing to work weekends as required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based at the Chrysler Automotive Research and Development Centre, requiring flexibility in shift patterns and weekend work as necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Windsor, Ontario.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.38 - $41.38/hr.
