**Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's systems. You will work from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, overseeing the maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met.
**Responsibilities**
+ Test systems, primarily PLCs, Drives, and related sensors, recording results on a tablet or laptop.
+ Interpret equipment diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to understand mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Program and upgrade older machine PLCs as necessary.
+ Diagnose and repair machines as needed or on a preventative maintenance schedule.
+ Perform routine maintenance tasks on various facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
+ Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
+ Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
+ Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
+ Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory.
+ Collaborate with other team members to enhance overall facility operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in electrical systems, troubleshooting logic controllers, and mechanical systems.
+ Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
+ Knowledge of clean room protocols and comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
+ Strong understanding of manufacturing facilities maintenance practices and procedures.
+ Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to maintain a safe working environment while adhering to safety regulations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of GMPs is a plus.
+ Experience with food production equipment/machines, regulations, and restrictions (USDA) is helpful but not required.

**Work Environment**
Work in a variety of environments including a cold food production area, a non-climate-controlled warehouse, and a climate-controlled office space. You will occasionally perform tasks in the office area, such as moving furniture or replacing lightbulbs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
