Wastequip Steel Division has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to support our Albany, OR, manufacturing operation. The Maintenance Technician will have responsibility for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing equipment and the overall plant.

Responsibilities

Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance and repairsHave the knowledge and ability to trouble shoot and repair production equipment, including welding machines, metal fabricating equipment, overhead cranes, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsControl equipment down time by conducting PM inspections and repairs outside of peak production hoursExperience coordinating repairs with outside contractors and vendors when necessaryProvide facility maintenance and repairs as neededComplete PM inspections of equipment, facility and safety as indicatedTrack repairs, including cause, down time and repair time

Qualifications

Completion of technical/vocational industrial maintenance program or related fieldMinimum 2+ years related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read and understand blueprints, electrical and hydraulic diagrams and equipment specificationsProficient with hand and power tools, metal working tools and welding equipmentPrior welding experience is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skills a mustStrong computer skillsExperience with PM programsWorking knowledge of related regulations such as OSHA, NEC, NFPA, ANSI and state/local codes.
