Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role involves performing maintenance duties with a focus on mechanical tasks, making up 80% of the work, and electrical tasks, comprising 20%. The engineer will work on various machinery and equipment, including piping, exhaust fans, vacuum conveyor systems, packaging machinery, mixing tanks, stretch wrappers, hot oil heating systems, and glycol chillers. The electrical responsibilities include disconnecting motors, checking polarity, pulling fuses, and resetting breakers. You will also be involved in facility maintenance and troubleshooting equipment using blueprints. Tools for the job will be provided.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance tasks on various equipment and machinery.Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including disconnecting motors, checking polarity, and resetting breakers.Assist with facility maintenance as needed.Utilize blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment.Work collaboratively to support the team and company needs.

Essential Skills

Mechanical Troubleshooting (Hydraulics, Pneumatics)Electrical Troubleshooting (Understanding 120V basics)Blueprint readingExperience with valves and compressors

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MIG and TIG weldingPLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley)Chemical maintenance experienceExperience with pumps and electrical repairKnowledge of preventive maintenance and 3-phase systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stow, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
