We're seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to join the growing team at our optical manufacturing facility in Plano, TX. 

Shift:  2nd

Hours:  Sundays - Thursdays, 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Job Description

General Summary:  Entry-level Maintenance Technician responsible for servicing and maintaining equipment in the production lab.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance on equipment, maintaining PM checklistsHandling work orders to resolve machine issues and minimize production down timeServicing CNC Edgers and Generators: cleaning, performing routine tasks, changing or fixing parts and recalibratingMaintaining Edgers and Blockers: keep filters and components clean, change cutters, checks for prism and axisServicing other equipment and systems in the labFollow all safety rules, "Lock out / Tag out" procedures and utilize PPE if requiredGenerally assist maintenance team, senior maintenance technicians, help with routine tasks, maintenance housekeeping in work areas and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications1 year previous experience in industrial or facility maintenanceExperience in manufacturing industry equipment preferableMechanically inclined, ability to utilize various tools and general maintenance understanding No specific education is requiredMust be able to read and write English
