Description Amazon is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Reliability Maintenance and Engineering (RME) team at our Craigieburn Sort Centre (ATS). As a Maintenance Supervisor you'll help us stay one step ahead, adopting the latest technologies and identifying new and efficient ways of working. In this role, you’ll pay close attention to our processes to help maintain our high standards, and you’ll put in place upgrades to take that standard even higher. Learn more about Amazon RME in Australia (https://amazon.jobs/content/en/teams/fulfillment-and-operations/rme-australia?cmpid=AS\_LIHR200027B) Key job responsibilities - Lead and Motivate: Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing strategic guidance and professional development - Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs and facility compliance strategies - Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and to promote safe working across the site - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex facility systems and automated equipment - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across organizational levels and participate in strategic leadership meetings A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of hands-on technical work and strategic leadership. You'll lead a team of 2 Technicians (fitters and electricians), troubleshoot complex equipment challenges, and develop proactive maintenance strategies that keep our cutting-edge systems performing at their peak. Basic Qualifications - Experience in contract management - Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks - Experience in team leadership - A full Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to a minimum of Certificate III or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject formally recognised in Australia including valid licence when required (i.e. unrestricted electrical licence) - Experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance - Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments Preferred Qualifications - Understanding of programmable logic controls (PLC) programming - Experience of multi-contractor management - Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
