**Maintenance Supervisor**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Supervisor role involves coaching, supervising, and training skilled craftspeople, apprentices, and laborers in repair and maintenance activities. You will assume accountability for maintenance activities during your shift, perform frontline troubleshooting on equipment, and direct safety awareness programs. Planning daily activities for maintenance crews, conducting root cause analysis, partnering with the Engineering Department for improvements, and managing development of maintenance procedures are key aspects of the role.
**Responsibilities**
+ Coach, supervise, and train skilled craftspeople, apprentices, and laborers in repair and maintenance activities.
+ Assume accountability for maintenance activities during your shift.
+ Perform frontline troubleshooting activities on equipment in your area of responsibility.
+ Direct safety awareness programs to manage workforce safety and maintain housekeeping.
+ Plan daily activities for assigned maintenance crews and provide the necessary tools and materials.
+ Perform root cause analysis and use “5-why” techniques to eliminate maintenance downtime.
+ Partner with the Engineering Department to improve the reliability of equipment and facilities.
+ Manage the development of maintenance work procedures and standard practices.
+ Drive continuous improvement activities to eliminate waste related to maintenance downtime, safety, and work practices.
+ Assist other Maintenance Supervisors as needed.
+ Manage applicable labor issues effectively within your work area.
+ Perform administrative requirements to manage the workforce effectively.
+ Communicate with upper-level management, contractors, vendors, and hourly employees.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of Maintenance Supervision experience.
+ 1+ years of leadership experience in a Union Manufacturing facility.
+ Previous experience in an Industrial trade as an Electrician, Millwright, or Industrial Maintenance Technician.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in hydraulics, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and maintenance scheduling.
+ Knowledge of CMMS, PM scheduling, and press maintenance.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
