Maintenance Planner – Electrical or Mechanical
Location: Shuqualak, MS | Full-Time | On-Site

A leading engineered wood manufacturer is hiring two Maintenance Planners to support a brand-new facility in Shuqualak, MS. You’ll be joining during the startup phase—helping build the maintenance planning function from the ground up.

Electrical Maintenance Planner (top priority)
Mechanical Maintenance Planner (active; potential to add a second)
These roles are key to ensuring safe, efficient, and well-prepared maintenance execution—and a great opportunity for experienced techs or leads ready to transition into planning full-time.
What You’ll Own (not all required experience)Build and manage job plans, PMs, task lists, and work instructions in the CMMS
Walk down jobs, gather parts/tools, and coordinate with vendors and the storeroom
Prepare work packages for downtime windows, outages, and capital installs
Partner with maintenance, operations, and automation teams to support day-to-day priorities
Support root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and reliability improvement
Electrical Planner: Motors, drives, PLCs, MCCs, instrumentation
Mechanical Planner: Conveyors, hydraulics, gearboxes, mobile and fixed equipment
What You Bring (flexible)3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (lumber, paper, mill, mfg, etc.)
1-2+ years of planning/scheduling, or strong informal planning experience as a lead tech
Solid understanding of PM systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance workflows
CMMS experience (any platform)
Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and walking the floor
Electrical Planner: Industrial electrical or E&I background preferred
Mechanical Planner: Mechanical maintenance or millwright background preferred
Compensation & PerksSalary: ~$85-90K base depending on experience
Bonuses: Annual incentive bonus (5-21%) + pay-for-performance bonus (7-12%)
Retirement: 401(k) with strong employer contribution and match (12%)
Hours: Salaried 40-hour week, with additional flexibility during outages or startup
