Maintenance Planner
Job Title: Maintenance PlannerJob Description

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for managing an active and effective safety program, ensuring compliance with governmental and corporate requirements. Your role will involve planning and scheduling preventive maintenance programs, updating job plans, managing work requests and orders, and ensuring all parts and consumables are included in job plans. You will work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with safety programs and governmental requirements.Plan and schedule preventive maintenance programs, including content updates and revisions.Complete job plans with manpower scheduling and parts verification according to company standards.Update job plan BOMs to reflect changes in materials.Manage the lifecycle of work requests and work orders; use feedback to update standard work and monitor job completion.Ensure correct parts and consumables are included in all job plans.Collaborate with the Maintenance team to maintain appropriate stock levels of spares.Update weekly KPIs for maintenance activities as needed.Develop master plans for shutdowns, outages, and turnarounds.Ensure products are produced in accordance with GMPs and SOPs, reporting quality issues immediately.Maintain equipment hierarchy and criticality database in the CMMS system.Support and ensure compliance with safety initiatives and establish focus and priorities at the plant level.Collaborate with PM maintenance crews to prioritize work and monitor timely completion of activities.Promote Root Cause Analysis practices to implement long-term solutions for breakdowns.Provide input in budget development for Maintenance.Share learnings and best practices to enhance machine efficiency.Work with the Engineering department on machine modifications and new machinery installations.Collaborate with operating colleagues to maintain high-quality production within budgeted efficiencies.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance planning role.Knowledge of SAP Maintenance system.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Troubleshooting and mechanical inclination.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Six Sigma methods and processes.Engineering or maintenance experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a candy manufacturing environment, primarily in the office for planning preventive maintenance schedules. The position is a day shift with flexibility, typically from 7 AM to 4 PM.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
