**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves performing minor plumbing and electrical repairs, assisting the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repair, and conducting general interior maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for completing special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and other general maintenance duties as assigned. This position requires a proactive approach to facility inspections and responding effectively to emergencies. **Responsibilities** + Perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs. + Assist in maintenance and repair of building and equipment. + Conduct general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures and installing keyboard trays. + Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests. + Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as needed. + Perform facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations. + Respond effectively to emergencies. + Recognize and propose methods to eliminate safety hazards. + Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs. + Document work performance and materials procurement. **Essential Skills** + Experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, chillers, boilers, and BAS. + 3+ years of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. + Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and use ladders up to 28 ft. + Mechanical and electrical aptitude. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + A valid state-issued driver's license. + Completion of a technical training program is desirable but not required. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing organization with numerous opportunities for advancement. The team is also preparing to break ground on a baseball field and stadium on the campus. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 3 pm - 11 pm, offering a structured yet flexible work environment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of McLean, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
