The Maintenance Mechanic is accountable for overseeing all projects, repairs, and improvements on the production lines, including mold changes and preventative maintenance. This role ensures the production and related equipment are in proper and safe operational condition.
ResponsibilitiesRecommend, plan, repair, modify, make, install, and adjust necessary elements following a problem or project affecting productivity.Assist in updating, developing, and improving equipment preventive maintenance programs.Direct and advise production employees during repairs.Assist and train production employees on machine conversions and preventive maintenance.Ensure cleanliness of all equipment and related areas after repairs or maintenance.Communicate with supervisors regarding the condition of production equipment.Assist in maintaining an appropriate stock of spare parts.Collaborate with the Maintenance Electrician on electrical-related problems.Support the maintenance team with repairs, preventive maintenance, installation, commissioning, and testing.Review machine safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout) and general safety procedures (Fire/Evacuation, Accident Reporting, Safety Contract compliance).Essential SkillsKnowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics.Basic knowledge of electricity and controls.Minimum of 2 years of maintenance/mechanical experience or a certificate in maintenance.Forklift Certification and Elevated Lift Certification (Onsite training available).Experience with SAP and computerized maintenance management systems.Understanding of work order software.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical inclination with a solid understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.Basic electrical experience, understanding how electrical systems function.Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.Ability to work any shift (Day or Night).SAP knowledge is a plus, training available.Why Work Here?Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that starts immediately upon direct hire, with no waiting period. Work EnvironmentThe role offers a dynamic environment that includes a training shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, during the initial 6-month contract period. Upon conversion, the shift will be from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Mechanics are required to bring their own basic hand tools and toolbox, while the company will provide any necessary specialty tools. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, coordination, stooping, bending, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $33.00/hr.
