Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: 3rd Shift PM Mechanic** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated and skilled 3rd Shift PM Mechanic to join our team in ensuring that our machinery is in optimal operational order. This critical senior-level role involves providing mechanical and technical support, troubleshooting automated material handling system components, and performing on-site installation, servicing, and repair processes in a 700,000 sq. ft. distribution center. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical and lubrication tasks on automated material handling equipment, including belt installation, bolt and tension roll adjustment, straightening parts, aligning rollers, and replacing defective parts. + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment according to safety and quality procedures. + Assist in formulating preventative maintenance standards and work procedures while providing work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery. + Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated conveyor systems, including key components like automated putwall (pick-to-light systems), HighJump (WMS), PandA (Print and Apply) components, and Intelligrated conveyor systems. + Provide daily support to operations, particularly by performing daily inspections as required by site guidelines. + Utilize various tools and instruments to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on conveying systems according to established standards. + Participate in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as needed. + Perform general facility maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, light plumbing, and light electrical repairs. + Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, boom and scissor lifts, and other powered machinery. + Complete work orders and inspection documentation using CMMS systems. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial manufacturing process/production equipment. + Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues hands-on. + Knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, welding, blueprints, and preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance. + Understanding of safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out. + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. + Basic math skills for inventory and measurement conversion accuracy. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Certified 5S experience is preferred. + Sortation experience is advantageous. + Knowledge of shrink tunnel repair and troubleshooting. + PLC knowledge is a plus but not required. **Why Work Here?** Our work environment is very clean, and we offer opportunities for growth and advancement. The role involves frequent physical activity, including bending, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling, crawling, twisting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and standing for long periods, sometimes in extreme temperatures. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
