**Job Title:** Maintenance Mechanic **Location:** Florham Park **Shift:** First Shift We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with strong mechanical aptitude to support, troubleshoot, and repair heavy industrial machinery. This role requires hands-on experience working with gear boxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment uptime, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining a safe working environment consistent with responsibilities found in similar industrial maintenance roles. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. + Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain industrial machinery. + Interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematic diagrams to diagnose issues and complete repairs. + Maintain accurate maintenance logs and follow all safety protocols. + Assist with equipment upgrades, changeovers, and continuous improvement projects, similar to responsibilities in comparable maintenance roles. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in gear boxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, schematics, and technical charts. + Hands-on troubleshooting experience for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. + Ability to install, build, and repair industrial equipment and machinery. + Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs; lift truck, crane operation, and basic rigging a plus. + Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly for documentation and safety compliance. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florham Park, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
