**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with at least three years of maintenance or electrician experience, including a minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read schematics and a preference for experience with PLCs. A high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. This role demands a working knowledge of basic safety programs, such as lock-out/tag-out procedures, and principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and mechanics. **Responsibilities** + Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components, and special purpose machines as assigned. + Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. + Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, fabricate, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. + Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following checklists. + Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly. + Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. + Think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals. + Operate various equipment and machinery during periods of low maintenance task assignments. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Mechanical + Repair + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Preventive maintenance + Diesel + Welding + Blueprint reading + Schematic reading + Hand tool operation + Heavy equipment handling + Fabrication **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. + Extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, and climbing + Working in dusty, hot, and/or cold conditions + Use of fall protection equipment + Mechanical aptitude **Why Work Here?** Join us for a highly competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and disability programs. Be prepared for a dirty and hot environment, with tasks performed in various weather conditions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr.
