Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you will be integral to the operation of our metal processing facility. You'll be working with large coils of metals like stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and steel, using cranes and machinery to cut them into smaller coils or large sheets. This role is part of a Union shop, and you will join the Union after 90 days. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience, including AC/DC motor knowledge, VFD and relay troubleshooting, schematics, and electrical continuity testing. + 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical prints knowledge. + Comfortable with heights as crane maintenance may require climbing to catwalks on the ceiling. **Why Work Here?** Our employees benefit from a robust bonus structure, including a GAIN SHARE bonus every two weeks tied to production, averaging $200 - $300, as well as a $100 quarterly attendance bonus and a $375 quarterly safety bonus. Join a supportive team where your skills are valued and rewarded. **Work Environment** Our facility houses 30 production employees and is equipped with overhead cranes for loading metal coils into machines and onto trucks. The work involves handling large metal coils and participating in a carpentry shop for crating. Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with current extended hours due to increased demand from 5 am to 5 pm. Saturday work is on a rotating schedule, with notice provided by the Union. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northbrook, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
