**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment, performing preventative and predictive maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues. This role involves ensuring that converting equipment and lines run continuously and participating in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. The mechanic will also perform repairs and implement technical solutions, using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment, including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers. + Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment. + Troubleshoot equipment to determine and resolve issues. + Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. + Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. + Perform repairs and implement technical solutions. **Essential Skills** + Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. + 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3 phase motors. + Proficiency in changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves. + Troubleshooting and repair skills. + Preventive maintenance and electrical skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required. + 3+ years of experience in a GMP environment preferred. + Computer proficiency in MS Office. + Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility preferred. + 3 years of experience in a non-FDA facility is considered average. + Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable company offering great benefits, including an ESOP program. The plant operates around the clock, five days a week, distributing products nationwide seven days a week. The facility is a liquid filling operation, and candidates with experience in liquid filling or packaging, particularly from the food and beverage industry, are preferred. Be prepared for strong odors in the facility, which may vary by department, such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
