Our client, In Geneva, NY is seeking a skilled MFG Maintenance Mechanic to join their 3rd shift team. As a maintenance mechanic you will repair, maintain and support equipment on their packaging lines to maximize productivity and quality including changeovers, set-ups, installation, and adjustments.

What’s the Job?
Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyse and solve both routine and complex electrical and mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment Perform established Preventative Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during PM process Assist Engineering on equipment installations Repair and fabricate parts as required. Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials. Other duties as assigned
What’s Needed?
7-plus years’ mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Advanced skills and knowledge of the repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment, electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, PLC’s, bearings, shafts, production machines and liquid filling equipment Ability to troubleshoot machine downtime events and utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source High school diploma or equivalent Vocational training Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship Ability to read blueprints, possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and production maintenance work experience
