Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic for our first shift. This role focuses solely on mechanical work, with no electrical experience required. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment within the plant.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in production equipment.Repair and maintain production machinery to ensure smooth operation.Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues.Be on call to address breakdowns and ensure continuous plant operations.Essential Skills
Strong working knowledge of mechanical concepts.Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting.Experience with blueprints, gears, motors, shafts, and bearings.Comfortable working in hot environments and getting dirty.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hydraulics and preventive maintenance is advantageous.Work Environment
The facility is located in Charlotte, NC, in a non-temperature controlled environment, with some tasks occurring outdoors. Summers can be hot and winters cold, with certain areas being hotter due to machinery. The facility produces wheat flour and consists of multiple levels, requiring extensive walking. It is a dusty environment with flour present throughout. The position operates on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:00pm. Maintenance staff rotate on-call duties and are compensated with a minimum of 4 hours pay if called in during off-hours.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.20 - $28.20/hr.
