Our client, In Geneva, NY is seeking a skilled **MFG** **Maintenance Mechanic** to join their 3rd shift team. As a maintenance mechanic you will repair, maintain and support equipment on their packaging lines to maximize productivity and quality including changeovers, set-ups, installation, and adjustments. **Job Title: MFG Maintenance Mechanic** **Location: Geneva, NY** **Pay Range: Pay begins at 25.00/hr** **What’s the Job?** + Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality + Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule + Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary + Utilize data from both CMMS and MES to analyse and solve both routine and complex electrical and mechanical problems of processing, packaging, and auxiliary equipment + Perform established Preventative Maintenance. Identify and correct mechanical/electrical maintenance issues found during PM process + Assist Engineering on equipment installations + Repair and fabricate parts as required. + Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance + Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials. + Other duties as assigned **What’s Needed?** + **7-plus years’ mechanic experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment** + Advanced skills and knowledge of the repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment, electric motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, PLC’s, bearings, shafts, production machines and liquid filling equipment + Ability to troubleshoot machine downtime events and utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve issues at their source + High school diploma or equivalent + Vocational training Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship + Ability to read blueprints, possess advanced mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and production maintenance work experience **What’s in it for me?** + Competitive Pay + Standard Benefits Package + 401k If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
