We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform preventive and reactive maintenance in a heat treat shop, primarily focusing on furnaces, water towers, and other equipment. This role involves working in a hot environment and requires a proactive individual who is comfortable getting their hands dirty.
ResponsibilitiesConduct preventive and reactive maintenance on furnaces, water towers, and various equipment.Perform electrical maintenance including motors, wiring, and switches repair.Handle mechanical maintenance tasks such as teardown and rebuilds of pumps.Execute hydraulic and plumbing maintenance involving simple plumbing and water fixes.Carry out pneumatic and HVAC maintenance on air lines, filters, coolers, and moisture traps.Document completed jobs using a tablet by taking pictures.Review blueprints and schematics daily; familiarity is important.Ensure general cleaning and organization of the production floor after each job.
Essential Skills2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic preventive and reactive maintenance.Familiarity with blueprints and schematics.Troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable working in a hot environment.Strong attendance and reliability.Willingness to learn and grow within the company.Ability to engage in friendly banter and work within a close-knit team.

Work Environment
The role is based in a heat treat shop with a warm atmosphere and a well-organized setting. Despite the nature of the work being slightly dirty, the shop maintains a clean environment. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with mandatory on-call rotations every other weekend.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
