**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing standard work safely by adhering to all safety rules and procedures, both written and verbal. You will inspect and repair plant equipment, which includes mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation, and controls to minimize downtime. Accurate documentation of maintenance activities and maintaining cleanliness and functionality of assigned areas and tools are key aspects of this role. You will participate in continuous improvement processes and report any incidents, near misses, and non-conformances through appropriate channels. Additionally, you will exemplify organizational values, provide input on maintenance supply purchases, perform preventive maintenance, and cross-train in other production functions as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform standard work safely by following all safety rules and procedures.
+ Inspect and repair plant equipment, including mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation, and controls.
+ Document maintenance activities accurately.
+ Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools.
+ Participate in continuous improvement processes.
+ Report incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
+ Exemplify organizational values and follow policies and procedures.
+ Coordinate maintenance supply purchases.
+ Perform and ensure accuracy of Preventive Maintenance Program.
+ Cross-train in other production functions as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with 480-volt 3 phase electricity.
+ Capability in installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC; AC/DC drive motors.
+ Ability to troubleshoot electric, air, and hydraulic systems.
+ Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry, and hot work permit.
+ Ability to work overtime and meet deadlines.
+ Effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner.
+ Good communication skills with fluency in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred experience in AB.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond urgently to down equipment.

Work Environment
This position is located in an industrial work environment involving the use of high-performance cladding systems for commercial and residential construction. The organization is expanding to a larger facility in North Kingstown, RI. The work environment is dynamic, accommodating various climate conditions and building configurations, with a focus on durable textures and innovative solutions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Warwick, Rhode Island.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
