Schedule: 4:30pm- 2:30am Monday- Friday (occasional Saturday and Sundays)

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and repairing large-scale industrial machinery in a leading recycling company. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanics to perform vital repairs on a large scrap shredder machine. This role requires working after production shifts, ensuring machinery is ready for the next day's operations.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on conveyor tracks, rollers, air systems, and gearboxes.Conduct thorough cleaning, including cleaning pipes and chiseling out parts stuck in the shredder.Operate forklifts, skid steers, and perform basic welding tasks.Complete the daily maintenance checklist and ensure the machinery is in optimal condition.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.

Essential Skills

Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in a heavy industrial or recycling environment.Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery.Proficient in operating forklifts, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.Basic welding skills (MIG, stick) and ability to perform minor fabrication tasks.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, shoveling, and working in confined spaces.Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience using a front-end loader, excavator, forklift, skid steer, or scrap handler in an industrial/outdoor work environment.Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.Ability to walk up several flights of stairs and work at heights above one-story.Knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles.Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions.Stable work history.Flexibility to work off hours, weekends, and holidays, including overtime and six days a week as required by production.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors year-round, regardless of weather conditions, primarily focusing on a large shredder machine. The work schedule is a night shift from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am, requiring adaptability to seasonal elements.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $43680.00/yr.

Production percentage bonus 50%-70% weekly salary bonus. Typically stay in the 60% bonus. Never below 50%
