Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic who is committed to ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical systems, while adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Responsibilities + Follow all applicable safety procedures. + Change seals on different types of pumps. + Calibrate thermocouples and other electrical devices. + Anticipate mechanical problems with rotating equipment and take appropriate actions. + Perform routine maintenance on glass-lined vessels. + Weld, thread, and install pipe up to 3 inches in diameter. + Install motors and control circuits up to 480V. + Maintain plant rolling stock. + Operate machine tools. + Troubleshoot boiler and compressor problems. + Complete work orders accurately. + Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician experience + Electrical and mechanical repair + Hydraulics and pneumatics + Preventive maintenance + Blueprint and schematic interpretation + Industrial maintenance + PLC troubleshooting + Heavy equipment maintenance + Rebuilding centrifugal and diaphragm pumps + Installing and replacing pumps and motors + Running screw pipe + General fabrication Additional Skills & Qualifications + Welding experience is a plus but not required. + Basic industrial electrical knowledge and troubleshooting. + Experience with hand tools. + Mechanical aptitude. Work Environment This role requires outside work where the mechanic is exposed to hazardous conditions, hot materials, dirty equipment, and high elevations. Safety and protective gear are provided to ensure a secure work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
