Job Description
This role is pivotal in maintaining building operations and ensuring that the facilities remain safe and functional at all times. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and systems during both factory runtime and downtime.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment and systems during factory runtime and downtime, making necessary adjustments during shifts.Respond to unplanned work orders to quickly and safely bring equipment back to production.Ensure timely and complete closeout of unplanned work orders with detailed descriptions of problems observed, actions taken, and any necessary follow-ups.Inspect equipment for wear, metal fatigue, and damage.Rebuild and fabricate parts and equipment as needed.Drive the implementation of a 'Continuous Improvement' organization by consistently reducing faults.Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.Maintain standard running conditions of operating equipment throughout the facility and address repairs and replacement of failed components.Troubleshoot unknown equipment issues and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) hardware.Read and interpret blueprints and basic intermediate PLC ladder logic.Utilize PC skills to plan and close work orders.Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).Essential SkillsTroubleshooting and maintenance technician skills.Experience in pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and repair.Ability to troubleshoot processing and packaging equipment.Electrical skills, including working with electrical motors and PLCs.Ability to read blueprints and schematics.Mechanical and hydraulics knowledge.Bilingual communication skills in Spanish are a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of five years of experience in repairing and troubleshooting production equipment.At least 2-5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial facility.Knowledge of electrical systems using 480-volt 3 phase and 240-volt through 24-volt single phase systems.Experience with variable frequency drives.Welding experience.Physical ability to perform all required activities without restrictions, including lifting up to 50 pounds.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
