We pride ourselves on growing our people potential and encourage career growth within our facilities.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n•\tAnalyzing and repair of mechanical problems associated with fork trucks, air compressors, and piping systems.\n•\tRepair and maintenance of FRP equipment.\n•\tFabrication of wood and steel items.\n•\tTroubling shooting and repair of electrical systems including motor controls and lighting circuits.\n•\tTechnical manuals and code requirements.\n•\tMaintenance records and required paperwork.\n•\tEnvironmental issues.\n•\tMaintenance of grounds.\n•\tFacility cleaning / Janitorial responsibilities\n•\tMay perform other duties as necessary.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation: \n•\tMust have a High School Diploma or equivalent.\n•\tTechnical training in mechanical/electrical field or maintenance mechanics required.\nExperience: \n•\tMust have a minimum of 1 year experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems/equipment in a manufacturing/industrial environment.\n•\tAbility to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics.\n•\tPC based software experience preferred.\n•\tAbility to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respect\n•\tAbility to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English\n\nPREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\n•\tProactive team player who is a self-starter with constant attention to improvement.\n•\tAbility to remain extremely focused and organized with a high-attention to detail / high degree of accuracy.\n•\tAble to work with multiple priorities and people.\n•\tMarine experience preferred but not required\n\nSHIFT & WORK SCHEDULE\n•\tBoston Whaler has multiple shifts available to fit a variety of schedule. \n•\tThe standard work schedule for this position is Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. \n•\tOccasional overtime may be required based on scheduling and business needs, including non-schedule workdays or irregular hours.\n•\tAn hourly premium shift differential is available for employees working night shift and weekends\n\nWORK ENVOIRNMENT & PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.\n•\tFrequent exposure to high-temperatures, including a hot and humid environment, especially during summer months.\n•\tNoise level is moderate with intervals of spikes\n•\tRequired to wear safety glasses, Tyvex aprons, half mask respirator, and utilize other safety equipment and personal protect equipment (PPE) while present on the production/shop floor.\n•\tFrequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust & cloths, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals. \n•\tAbility to walk or stand for extended periods of times.\n•\tAbility to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching\n•\tAbility to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, reach, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds. \n•\tVision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
